Overall what i gathered from the interview was there were many factors in the horror genre that people prefer and by holding this interview i was able to find out that some people aged 17 and upwards prefer the psychological sub genre because as it was able to be more realistic compared to gory slasher film. From this we were able to look back at our own initial thoughts and tweak and mend certain area's to meet the target audiences expectations. During this interview i asked many questions inquiring what time period and what kind of atmosphere would implement the fear factor the most. What i found out was that the best atmosphere for a horror film is the cinema since it provides better sound and special effects and is also makes it more intense since you are not at home and you are out of your comfort zone. Also i was able to found out that horror films from the 21st century use more controversial topics than back in the 80s where special effects were poor and unrealistic making it harder for it to scare some one who was born in the recently and has grown up with this new view on horror than compared to some one who was born in the 60s where people would find the simplistic of idea's like a monster film e.g. The Thing most terrifying. Finally asking if horror has a bigger impact on people than other film genres, i found out that more people would rather to pay to be scared than to watch a film in another genre like a rom com since more people like to be thrilled and give them a reason to spend their money. Overall a teaser trailer is a good selling technique to sell all films but through my eye's i feel that horror trailers are able to create a bigger impact on a person.
